Digital Bros takes full control

Digital Bros has bought the IP rights to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers from developer Chengdu Lingze Technology for about $4.6 million, giving the 505 Games parent full ownership of the franchise and future royalties.

The deal gives Digital Bros direct control over how the soulslike action RPG is developed, expanded, and monetized from here. That includes potential sequels, spin-offs, and other media tied to the property.

Sales gave the deal momentum

Digital Bros said Wuchang has already shown strong commercial traction. The company said the game has sold more than 1 million copies since launching in July 2025 and generated over $35.1 million in revenue.

That helps explain the move. Owning the IP outright lets Digital Bros make faster calls on future investment instead of relying on a licensing setup with the original developer.

505 Games backs owned franchises

For many players, 505 Games is the more recognizable name. The publisher has handled or distributed games including Terraria, Dead by Daylight, and the PC and Xbox versions of Death Stranding.

Digital Bros wants more games it fully owns, even after previously selling the Control IP back to Remedy in 2024.
