Corsair Cove sets sail for PC with pirate city building
Hooded Horse and Limbic Entertainment revealed Corsair Cove, a pirate city builder for PC in 2026. It mixes vertical building, naval combat, and sea monsters.
Pirate builder targets 2026 launch
Hooded Horse and Limbic Entertainment have announced Corsair Cove, a pirate city builder coming to PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store in 2026.
The unique element is vertical building. Instead of spreading across flat land, players will stack and stretch a pirate settlement over cliffs, hilltops and narrow island paths while keeping goods moving through complex production chains.
Built for cliffs and chokepoints
Corsair Cove starts with a wrecked ship and a handful of survivors on a deserted island. From there, players build out a pirate haven with taverns, piers, foundries, fortifications, and transport links like bridges and ziplines.
Limbic says the game will let players build with few terrain limits, turning steep geography into part of the strategy instead of a nuisance.
More than a cozy city sim
This is not just about placing buildings and balancing food. Players will manage a growing pirate population with escalating needs, then support an armada with specialized crews, equipment, and over 50 goods to produce and distribute.
- Basic and luxury food for different pirate classes
- Weapons, medicine, spyglasses, and ship supplies
- Advanced crew demands for stronger ships
- Island raids for resources that cannot be made at home
Crown pressure drives the campaign
The wider conflict centers on resisting the Crown as pirate hunters close in on the end of the Golden Age of Piracy. That means defending the home island, building fleets, and pushing back through expeditions and raids.
Sea encounters include exploration, branching events, and turn-based combat. The announcement also teases mythical threats like krakens and monstrous whales alongside enemy forts and fleets.
Limbic keeps its management streak going
Limbic is best known for management games including Tropico 6 and Park Beyond, so Corsair Cove fits neatly into the studio’s lane while swapping theme park sprawl for pirate logistics and naval pressure.
