Gothic Classic trilogy gets date and (expensive) price
THQ Nordic has set release dates for the Gothic Classic trilogy on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, starting July 28. Each game will launch separately for $29.99.
Console rollout gets release dates
THQ Nordic has set launch dates for the Gothic Classic trilogy on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One. The staggered release starts this summer and runs through late November.
The first game, Gothic Classic, arrives July 28 for $29.99 / €29.99. Gothic II Complete Classic follows on September 29, and Gothic 3 Classic releases November 24. Each game is priced at $29.99 / €29.99, which seems to be on the high end for a remaster like this.
Remake pre-order unlocks first game
Players who pre-order Gothic Remake can access Gothic Classic at no extra cost. That gives THQ Nordic an early gift for fans waiting on the full remake.
The company first announced console versions of the trilogy back in August 2025. Until now, the release window was still unclear.
Three old-school RPGs, spread out
- Gothic Classic: July 28
- Gothic II Complete Classic: September 29
- Gothic 3 Classic: November 24
- Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One
- Price: $29.99 / €29.99 each
The lineup brings Piranha Bytes' cult RPGs to more consoles after earlier Switch releases for Gothic Classic and Gothic II Complete Classic. Gothic Classic is also still planned for iOS.
What players are getting
The trilogy offers old-school RPG gameplay: faction choices, open-ended progression, dense questing, and simulated worlds full of NPCs.
THQ Nordic is bringing each release as a standalone title rather than a single bundle. On the one hand, you then have time to actually play them part by part. But it does get expensive quick.
