STALKER 2 “Sealed Truth” Update Now Available
The Sealed Truth update sends STALKER 2 players back into the X-Labs with a new story mission ahead of the Cost of Hope expansion.
X-Lab opens again
GSC Game World has released the “Sealed Truth” update for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, adding a new narrative activity built around the long-shrouded X-Lab facilities.
The update is live now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, giving players a new story tied to one of the Zone’s most iconic mysteries.
Diod leads the new mission
The setup starts with Diod, a technician from Slag Heap, who is rumored to have found a way into the lower levels of X-18.
Players step in as Skif, taking what looks like a straightforward paid job that quickly turns into a risk-heavy run underground.
More story before the DLC
GSC says the update is meant to expand the world with a smaller but meaningful story encounter, rather than a massive system overhaul or large content patch.
It also works as a lead-in to Cost of Hope, the game’s next expansion, which is scheduled to arrive this summer.
Zone support keeps rolling
The new mission doubles as a community thank-you while the studio tees up the DLC reveal. For players still roaming the Zone, it is another sign that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 support is shifting toward new story content, not just fixes and tuning.
